Early On
Since Summer 2006, OneRepublic has to thank heavy promotion from the online community, myspace, by being ranked as being one of the top musical acts. Started by high school friends Ryan Tedder (songwriter/record producer) and Zach Filkins in Colorado Springs. In 2003, LA, Tedder and filkins were joined by Drew Brown, Eddie Fisher and Tim Myers. In the Summer of 2005, the band signed a deal with Columbia Records, with producer Greg Wells (Mike, Rufus Wainwright, Deftones) and two songs produced by lead singer Ryan Tedder. Tim Myers left, just after the group moved to Interscope Recods/Mosley Music Group and Brent Kutzle replaced him.
